Cystic Fibrosis

Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease that is present at birth. In Cystic Fibrosis, the pancreas fails to produce certain enzymes that are vital to digestion. The disease affects the lungs, pancreas, mouth, gastrointestinal tract and sweat glands. Respiratory infections are common. The disease varies in degree of severity but is chronic & progressive.
